Meat Fight, Inc. is a Texas non-profit on a mission to make giving to charity an undeniably entertaining experience. We call that funlanthropy. Come party for a cause with us! You'll like it.

We've held Meat Fight, an annual barbecue competition, in Dallas, Texas, every November since 2012. And now, we host the Meat Fight 1K in McKinney every August, which is a food festival that has so many booths at it, we give you a finisher medal if you eat at every one of them.

All of our events raise funds to support people who have Multiple Sclerosis, or to support the National MS Society in their efforts to find a cure for the disease. We raise money to give bikes to people who have Multiple Sclerosis through our Meat Bike program. And then our team rides bikes together in the BikeMS events in Dallas, San Antonio and beyond. We fund people who have MS so that they can complete the Galveston IronMan. And the Dallas Marathon. And we raise money to give direct donations to the National MS Society to specifically fund research that will one day find a cure for MS.

Meat Fight is on a constant mission to bring you a good time. And to bring us all closer to a cure for MS. We believe that funlanthropy is the fastest way to reach both goals. Join us.

This is Meat Fight. Not Cole Slaw Fight.
2010 Meat Fight judge expresses disgust upon seeing a vegetable on his plate.

In 2010, we started Meat Fight® with a few friends and a keg in our backyard. Our Texas barbecue competition has four categories: brisket, pulled pork, sausage and Wild Card.

In 2012, we brought the meats to the masses for the first time. 12 fancy Dallas chefs competed for barbecue glory, and they were judged by the best barbecue minds in the best barbecue state. We ate meat, we drank whiskey, and we raised $20,000 for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.

In 2013, we demolished that number and raised $50,000. We even had Nick Offerman as a special guest.

12 Dallas chefs competed. There were many meats. There were many beers. We ate bacon doughnuts, we ate beef jerky, and then we raised a meat ton of money. Oh, and obviously there was a giant glitter pig.

In 2014, we had 16 competing chefs, a meat midway filled with midway games, and we raised $100,000 for the National MS Society and people living with MS in DFW. In 2015, we raised $150,000. In 2016, with the help of 1,000 attendees, we raised $175,000! And this year, with the help of our sponsors and your generous donations, we’ll raise even more. Here’s to meat, beers, and finding a cure for MS.
