We participated in the Bike MS ourselves and realized that we wanted to help more people living with MS cross the finish line of that ride. We wanted to ride WITH people living with MS, not just FOR them.
We started to ask ourselves, “How could we get more people living with MS out here, tackling this challenge?” We know exercise helps, but we also know cycling equipment is extremely cost prohibitive for lots of people. Particularly people who are having to pay for disease-modifying therapies and the like.
We decided we’d be the bridge. We would start our own program that would break down that equipment barrier. And that’s when we started giving bikes.
Cut to today, and this program is national, and Meat Fight just gave away our 318th bike.
